a) i would kill it as humanly as posable maby more so than other people would
b) id probably eat it as otherwize its a bit of a waist + be intresting to see what dog taisted of

i wouldn't be able to do it ... regardless of the amount.
I've had to put down pet birds that were hurt, (I used to have an aviary) and that's tough. Drowning is really easiest.
I don't think I could just kill a puppy for money, I'd like to be able to say I couldn't. Maybe if I could put him in a gas chamber or something, like they do at the pound. Maybe for a million bucks. Cash, before hand. Maybe.
This same old cat knew it was 'his time' and just disappeared into the woods. I thought that was rather considerate!

I resuced a seagull at the beach last year - literally: these kids were tormenting it with a stick or something. I was incredibly irritated by that - lousy parents!
Anyway, while I wanted to help, I also didn't feel like doing something stupid, so I went up to the local snack bar and got some dispoable gloves and a box - ironically an empty hot dog box was the perfect size to hold the wounded seagull.
Toronto has an animal ambulance, (seriously) but I was actually on our island, so it was going to take a long walk to get to the ferries, which would finally take me back to the mainland. Fortunatley I encountered a city works guy in a pickup truck - he kindly took the triage-box and said he would take it to the vet at the island zoo infirmary.
Oh sweet.
Heck, even if he couldn't save it (seagulls can be a nuisance and are incredibly numerous), at least it wouldn't have to suffer any longer. *Some* good hopefully came out of it.
i raise rabbits for food... so this is no biggie
@silvercord: Ain't a Milgram's experiment thingee, though. (I think that's what you're saying, right?) That was all about following the command of an authority figure, this is something different.

i was expecting some guy to seriously say $50. and then ask who he has to pay.
Maybe for a nice car I'd consider backing over one.
