Like with the mice, they should've given the guy coke and read the display. Helluva lot easier (and cheaper) than dropping him from a suspended rope 12 stories high.

"well, I couldn't read the display because in between trying not to shit my pants, I was busy thinking 'oh god oh god oh god oh god'"

The way it's presented is a bit misdirecting. Time doesn't slow down, because time is the same as it always is. The brain takes in information faster thus slowing the subject's perception of time. Incidentally, this is why it is so hard to swat a fly, because it takes in information quite fast and perceives the world as slow-motion, compared to us.

I see no reason why our brain shouldn't be able to speed up with the right chemicals, like for instance adrenaline.

Now if we could safely induce these drugs and speed up our brain in the right situations, then super-soldiers are closer than ever.

Use of the word "Perception" appears to be greatly limited in this experiment, which is exactly what appears to be affected.

Time is relative and watching the video through to completion doesn't present any evidence of poorly done science. People get hung up on the word "time" rather than its true meaning. I'd love to see the rest of this documentary.
